Kashmir Solidarity Day Observes in Gilgit-Baltistan

Like other parts of the country, people of Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday also marked the Kashmir Solidarity Day aiming at showing their sympathies and solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir, who have been endeavoring for the right of self-determination. The speakers condemned the worst atrocities of Indian forces against the freedom fighters in the occupied Kashmir.
The event to this connection was organized in Gilgit city, where Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Dr Kazim Alam was chief guest and Deputy Speaker Jafarullah and other political and social figures also attended the event.
While addressing the participants, the Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Dr Kazim highlighted that Indian forces resorted to the worse violence against the freedom fighters, which has exposed the real face of the so-called champion of democracy.
Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly Jafaralluha while addressing the gathering said that the ever worse atrocities of Indian forces met out to the freedom fighters even remained failed the occupying forces to achieve their malicious design.
He said that such atrocities would not help India in deterring the freedom fighters from seeking their fundamental right of self-determination in the held Kashmir. He said that Pakistan has been supporting the Kashmiris for their just cause of self-determination and would continue its diplomatic, political and moral support at all forums and at every occasion.
The event was also addressed by provincial ministers, politicians and people from different walks of life. Schools and colleges students also presented poetry and other items to highlight the Kashmir cause.
